Recap: Lamar Warriors vs. Perryville Mustangs
The Lamar Warriors came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Perryville 62-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lamar also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Lamar got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kendrick Carr out in front who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Lane Miller was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Lamar is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Perryville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
Lamar will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Dover at 7:00 a.m. Dover is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Perryville, they will head out on the road to face off against Baptist Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baptist Prep is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
