Softball Recap: South Greene Has No Trouble Against Happy Valley

South Greene won the last time they faced Happy Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the South Greene Rebels' way against the Happy Valley Warriors as the South Greene Rebels made off with a 16-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Kortnei Bailey made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career-low in hits. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paisley Brobeck, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitney Reaves, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

South Greene now has a winning record of 2-1.

South Greene will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Johnson County at 5:00 p.m. on March 27th. As for Happy Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Elizabethton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
