Basketball Recap: Lapoynor Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Krum, LaPoynor was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Fruitvale Bobcats 65-48. Given the Flyers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 983rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

LaPoynor's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 15-7. As for Fruitvale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

As for Fruitvale, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Fruitvale Bobcats face off against the Alba-Golden Panthers at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Fruitvale is facing Alba-Golden at the right time seeing as Alba-Golden is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
