Volleyball Recap: Voyager Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Voyager Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Franklin Academy Patriots. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 26-28, 25-14.

Franklin Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily Miller led the charge by getting nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces Miller has posted over her last five matchups. Another player making a difference was Carson Turner, who had five digs and three aces.

Voyager Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Franklin Academy, their record now sits at 4-11.

Coming up, Voyager Academy will challenge Raleigh Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against East Wake Academy on the 18th.
