Basketball Recap: Keenan Falls to Legacy Early College in First Game of Season

Keenan unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 48-44 to the Legacy Early College Lions on Saturday. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 14-8 in the first quarter.

Lance Barnes went supernova For Legacy Early College., going 7-for-15 on his way to 18 points and six steals. What's more, Barnes posted four rebounds, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of R'Javion Booker, who had seven points and six assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Legacy Early College and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coincidentally, Keenan and Legacy Early College will both be playing James F. Byrnes the next time they take the court. The Raiders will host the Rebels at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
