Volleyball Game Preview: Lamar Silver Foxes vs. Governor's School for Science & Math Eagles

Lamar hasn't had much luck against Governor's School for Science & Math recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Silver Foxes will take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Lamar lost 3-0 to Lewisville on Monday.

Lamar took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-13, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Governor's School for Science & Math came up short against Lewisville last Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Governor's School for Science & Math couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 21-25, 27-25, 26-24.

Governor's School for Science & Math's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Lamar, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Lamar might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Governor's School for Science & Math when the teams last played back in September. Can the Silver Foxes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
