Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wagner). They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Boerne Greyhounds on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Thunderbirds as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Wagner's victory bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Boerne, they dropped their record down to 17-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wagner will square off against rival Alamo Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Boerne is set to challenge their familiar foe New Braunfels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Greyhounds 3.9, the Unicorns 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
