Mission College Prep hadn't done well against Garces Memorial recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Royals walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rams. For the Royals, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Mission College Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-16.

Mission College Prep has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission College Prep will venture away from home to challenge Nipomo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garces Memorial, they will head out to take on Monache at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
