Soccer Recap: Escondido Charter Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Escondido Charter's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Pacific Ridge Firebirds on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while the Firebirds are ranked 80th).

Escondido Charter now has a losing record at 5-6-2. As for Pacific Ridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2-3.

Escondido Charter didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-3 draw against Coronado on the 28th. Pacific Ridge has also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against La Jolla Country Day on the 29th.
