Recap: Southeast of Saline Trojans vs. Sterling Black Bears
If the Southeast of Saline Trojans were feeling good off their 54-21 takedown of the Lyons Lions last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Southeast of Saline was the victim of a rough 58-36 defeat at the hands of Sterling on Friday. While losing is never fun, Southeast of Saline can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Sterling is ranked 27th).
Southeast of Saline lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gannon Jacobson, who scored 12 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Omar Calzada, who scored seven points along with two blocks.
Southeast of Saline now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Sterling, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
