Softball Recap: Northmont Has No Trouble Against Springboro

Springboro typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Northmont proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Panthers. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Thunderbolts this season.

Northmont pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Springboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.

Looking ahead, Northmont will head out to square off against Tri-Village at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Thunderbolts surely won't give up without a fight. As for Springboro, they will welcome Waynesville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
