Volleyball Recap: MICDS' Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

There's no place like home for MICDS, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against the Villa Duchesne Saints by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 25-16.

Leading MICDS to victory were Olivia Hill and Alayna Wright. Hill had 17 digs and three aces, while Wright had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Hill has posted over her last five matches.

They weren't the only good servers: MICDS was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are a perfect 9-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

MICDS' record now sits at 11-15. As for Villa Duchesne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

MICDS didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Visitation Academy on the 8th. Villa Duchesne has also already played their next match (against Rosati-Kain), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
