The Richland Rams will face off against the Clearfield Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Richland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Richland took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Somerset a 3-0 shutout.

Dylan Wyandt looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caden Robertson was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Braden Yoder, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Clearfield couldn't beat Central on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Bison took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons.

Clearfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Rumsky, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Richland's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Clearfield, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Richland's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Rams have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Clearfield, though, as they've been averaging only 0.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Richland continue to outrun the ball?
