Baseball Recap: Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They skirted past the Bullard-Havens Tigers 10-8.

Trystin Lewis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two doubles. Lewis is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Edgar Candelaria, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Bullard-Havens, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Coginchaug Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Bullard-Havens, they will take on Kolbe-Cathedral at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
