The Whetstone Braves will challenge the Bexley Lions at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Friday, Whetstone beat Beechcroft 11-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Whetstone got a massive performance out of Avery Bair, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Bair is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Sara Kraus was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Whetstone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Bexley couldn't beat Westerville South on Monday even though they stacked eight runs on them in the third inning. The Lions came up short against the Wildcats, falling 21-10. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Davaney Prophet made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Erica Golden also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Bexley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Whetstone, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Bexley's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Whetstone has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Bexley, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.7 strikeouts. Will Whetstone keep running through batters, or will the Lions buck the trend?
Everything went Whetstone's way against Bexley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Whetstone made off with a 10-2 victory. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
