Softball Recap: Buffalo Comes Up Short

Buffalo was the 5-0 winner over Springfield Catholic when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Bison fell just short of the Fighting Irish by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Springfield Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Buffalo will face off against Fair Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Bison's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Springfield Catholic, they will take on Forsyth at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting Irish are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
