Baseball Recap: Rutherford's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Rutherford fell victim to Lyndhurst and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Bears. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Rutherford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Weber, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Rutherford's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Lyndhurst, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

While Rutherford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
