Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Lake Highland Prep turned things around against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on Wednesday. They blew past the Tigers 12-1. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Highlanders' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Rhys Dellinger spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Lake Highland Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Merritt Island Christian faced off against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on Tuesday. Merritt Island Christian fell 8-3 to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy.
Merritt Island Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayvon Morris, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Morris also launched a home run, marking his first of the season.
Merritt Island Christian dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lake Highland Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Lake Highland Prep's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. Lake Highland Prep has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game.
