Football Recap: Wilson Piles Up the Points Against Huntington Park

Wilson won the last time they faced Huntington Park and things went their way on Friday too. The Mules took their contest with ease, bagging a 37-6 win over the Spartans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mules.

Wilson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samantha Escarcega, who rushed for 65 yards and one score, and also threw for 65 yards and one TD. Anniyah Huteson also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Wilson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Huteson.

Wilson's record now sits at 2-0.

Looking ahead, Wilson will welcome Maywood Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Huntington Park, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 20-7 win against Kennedy on the 15th.
