It was a good run, but Southwest Guilford unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 9-5 to the Northwest Guilford Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in March.

Madison Newell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Southwest Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Northwest Guilford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-9.

As of now, neither Southwest Guilford nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
