Baseball Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

Newark lost against Brandywine back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets lost 16-6 to the Bulldogs. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Brandywine, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Newark will head out on the road to take on Delcastle Technical at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Brandywine, they will be playing at home against Mount Pleasant at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Green Knights have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
