Basketball Game Preview: Zephyr Bulldogs vs. Baird Bears

The Zephyr Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Baird Bears at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Zephyr is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Zephyr saw some tournament action on Friday. They were outmatched by May and fell 72-32. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1240th, while the Tigers are ranked 459th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-19, which was the final score in Baird's tilt against Pantego Christian on Friday. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Zephyr's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Baird, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
