Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Academy Takes a Loss

Roosevelt Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Lake Wales Highlanders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13.

Miguel Binzha was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 11 digs and one assist.

Roosevelt Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Lake Wales, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11.

Roosevelt Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Wales, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Lakeland on the 22nd.
