Softball Recap: Harding Skippers vs. Bloomfield Cardinals
Harding's last matchup with Bloomfield could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Skippers lost 17-6 to the Cardinals. The loss leaves the Skippers still looking for their first win of the season.
Jillian Justinger and Natalie Phillips did some serious damage despite the final result: Justinger went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one double, while Phillips went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Jaylen Alspaugh also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Harding's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Bloomfield, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3.
