Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Superior). They blew past the Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin Raiders 18-8 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Superior pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Superior will take on Denfeld at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hunters' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin, they will face off against Hill City/Northland at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
