Baseball Preview: Palisades Pirates vs. Bangor Slaters        
        
		
            
 The Palisades Pirates will head out on the road to  take on  the Bangor Slaters at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Palisades will bounce into Thursday's   contest after  beating Southern Lehigh, who they hadn't topped in nine consecutive meetings. Palisades walked away with  a   5-1  win over Southern Lehigh  on Wednesday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Palisades.
  Tyler Bonelli made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Bonelli was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
 Bonelli wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Ted Musselman, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.  Kirsch Kyle was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base.
 Meanwhile, Bangor scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Wednesday. They blew past Notre Dame 20-3. With that  victory, Bangor brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.
  Luke Rinaldi was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with six  RBI, a  run,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Greg Campbell, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Palisades' record now sits at 6-7. As for Bangor,  the  win  got them back to even at 7-7.
 Palisades might still be hurting after the  11-0 loss they got from Bangor  when the teams last played  back in March. Can Palisades avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
