Football Recap: Gilbert's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Gilbert won the last time they faced Midland Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Mustangs. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Indians were the better team in the second half.

Midland Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Preston Smith, who picked up 91 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 64 yards.

Gilbert's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Midland Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
