Baseball Game Preview: Central Columbia Bluejays vs. Lewisburg Green Dragons

The Central Columbia Bluejays will face off against the Lewisburg Green Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Wednesday, Central Columbia came up short against Mount Carmel and fell 9-6. The Bluejays have struggled against the RED TORNADOES recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Lewisburg hadn't beaten Mifflinburg on the road since April 9, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Green Dragons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Wildcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Green Dragons.

Landynn Bieber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Landen Wagner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Xavier Carter, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Central Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lewisburg, their win bumped their record up to 6-10-1.
