Newburgh Free Academy had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors get on the board and left with a 25-0 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Goldbacks brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Parker Mullarkey, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and five runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Liana Shaw, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two RBI, and one double.

Newburgh Free Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Newburgh Free Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Our Lady of Lourdes, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

As for Our Lady of Lourdes, they will head out on the road to take on Roosevelt at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Presidents have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
