Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Rocky River

Rocky River won the last time they faced Statesville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Rocky River Ravens strolled past the Statesville Greyhounds with points to spare, taking the game 46-29. The victory was nothing new for the Ravens as they're now sitting on four straight.

Rocky River got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jade Bell out in front who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of MaKenzie Michael, who had ten points.

Statesville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Symerria Harris, who earned three points along with nine boards and three steals, and Saniah Davidson, who put up six points and four steals. Davidson has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played.

Rocky River pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Statesville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Rocky River and North Iredell will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rocky River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season. As for Statesville, they will face off against Community School of Davidson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Community School of Davidson also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 52.2 points per game.
