Softball Recap: Calvary Christian Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Calvary Christian rose to the challenge on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Bishop Verot Vikings. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.

Morgan Spinner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits.

At the plate, Claire Caoili was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Ashlynn Loftus was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Calvary Christian's record is now 22-4. As for Bishop Verot, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 20-8 record.

As of now, neither Calvary Christian nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
