Baseball Recap: Garner Comes Up Short

Garner lost against Clayton back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Garner fell just short of Clayton by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Garner and nudges their season record down to 6-6. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Clayton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

While Garner had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
