Basketball Recap: North Davidson's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

North Davidson lost against Ledford back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Black Knights came up short against the Panthers, falling 77-56. The Black Knights were down 65-38 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why North Davidson lost, don't look at Grayson Rush. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Rush is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Spencer Berrier, who posted nine points.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Davidson fell to 2-1. As for Ledford, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, North Davidson will head out on the road to challenge West Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ledford, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Northwest Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' defense better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 64.2 points per game this season.
