Soccer Recap: Northeastern's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

While Northeastern's win against Eastern York wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bobcats never let the Golden Knights get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Northeastern's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Eastern York are ranked 368th).

Northeastern has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-5 record this season. As for Eastern York, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Northeastern wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Spring Grove on the 7th. As for Eastern York, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Solanco on the 7th.
