Basketball Recap: Virgin Valley Comes Up Short

Virgin Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights and fell 83-55. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Blue Knights are ranked fourth).

Virgin Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Virgin Valley and Fernley will compete for holiday cheer at 10:30 a.m. on December 21st. Democracy Prep Agassi Campus will take on Buchtel in a holiday battle at at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
