Volleyball Recap: Sedgwick County Cougars vs. Colorado Springs Christian Lions

Sedgwick County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Colorado Springs Christian Lions 3-0 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on five straight.

Sedgwick County got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-20, 31-29.

Lainee Nein paced Sedgwick County's offense, picking up 11 kills. Nein really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 17. Keyana Ehnes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Sedgwick County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. As for Colorado Springs Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-6.

Sedgwick County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Wiggins on the 16th. Colorado Springs Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
