While Manteca put up some  runs on Thursday, the same  can't be said for Le Grand. The Buffaloes were the clear victors by  a  6-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Buffaloes, who have now won ten matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
Manteca got a great performance from  Riley Ward as she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those  12  strikeouts gave  Ward a new career-high.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jocelyn Baptist, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Lauren Moncada, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Manteca is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Le Grand,  with the  loss, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-6.
 Looking ahead, Manteca will take on Ceres in a tournament  on Thursday. The Buffaloes will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last five games. As for Le Grand, they will venture away from home to  take on Gustine  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
