Basketball Recap: Fort Recovery Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Fort Recovery rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the West Liberty-Salem Tigers by a score of 40-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

West Liberty-Salem's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madeline McGill, who posted six points and seven boards. McGill is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Wallen, who put up 13 points and three steals.

The victory got Fort Recovery back to even at 12-12. As for West Liberty-Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

Coming up, Fort Recovery will head out on the road to face off against Arcanum at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. West Liberty-Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
