Soccer Game Preview: West Field vs. Layton

The West Field Longhorns will take on the Layton Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Field's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

West Field is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Roy on Friday. West Field fell just short of Roy by a score of 1-0. The loss was the Longhorns' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Layton's game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out Northridge 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

Kyle Lemburg and Edwin Tamoua scored both of Layton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Field fell to 2-1. As for Layton, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
