Basketball Recap: New Albany Comes Up Short

New Albany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 61-45 to the Westerville Central Warhawks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-62 back in December of 2024.

New Albany's record now sits at 3-11. As for Westerville Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Albany has already played their next game (against Hilliard Bradley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westerville Central will take on Olentangy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
