Softball Game Preview: Triway Titans vs. Northwestern Huskies

The Triway Titans will square off against the Northwestern Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Triway fell victim to Tuslaw and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Northwestern didn't have quite enough to beat Norwayne on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Arayah Nussbaum made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Triway's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Northwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Triway couldn't quite get it done against Northwestern in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 as they fell 12-8. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
