Volleyball Recap: Fairland Comes Up Short

Fairland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Eastern Eagles. The Dragons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13.

Carlee Hall paced Fairland's offense, picking up three kills. Hall got some help from Haven Christian and her four assists. Finally, Lola Donahue kept Fairland's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Eastern found their leader in freshman Emeri Lloyd, who had nine digs and two aces.

Fairland's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Fairland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Chesapeake on the 26th. As for Eastern, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Athens on the 23rd.
