Softball Recap: Rumson-Fair Haven Comes Up Short

Rumson-Fair Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-3 to the St. Rose Purple Roses. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Purple Roses apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Rumson-Fair Haven saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Berry, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Rumson-Fair Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for St. Rose, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

While Rumson-Fair Haven had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
