With a playoff win on the line, Pope John Paul II rose to the challenge  on Friday. They were the clear victors by  a  7-0 margin over the Houma Christian Warriors. Considering the Jaguars have won 12 games by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Andrew Hoff was  excellent,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  run and one  double. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April of 2024.
Pope John Paul II's win was  their eighth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 24-8. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Houma Christian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 19-13.
