Recap: Lytle Pirates vs. Crystal City Javelinas

In what's become a running theme this season, the Lytle Pirates gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 62-35 victory over Crystal City at home. Winning may never get old, but Lytle sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Calyssa Sevier continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 steals. Sevier is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Arianna Garcia, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.

Lytle is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Crystal City, their loss dropped their record down to 14-14.

Lytle will head out on the road to take on Natalia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Natalia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday. As for Crystal City, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Dilley at 6:15 p.m. Dilley has now lost 17 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18.
