Softball Recap: West Ottawa Comes Up Short

West Ottawa was the 20-13 winner over Saugatuck when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 14-9 to the Trailblazers on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Ottawa's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Saugatuck, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Ottawa will face off against Grandville at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Saugatuck, they will venture away from home to face off against Lawton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trailblazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
