Soccer Game Preview: Jeff Davis vs. Wheeler County

The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets will take on the Wheeler County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jeff Davis is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Coffee just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 4-1. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Jeff Davis struggled afterwards.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Wheeler County lost 6-0 to Georgia Military College. While losing is never fun, Wheeler County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 330th, while Georgia Military College is ranked 99th).

Wheeler County's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4. As for Jeff Davis, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Everything went Jeff Davis' way against Wheeler County in their previous meeting back in February, as Jeff Davis made off with a 10-0 win. Does Jeff Davis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wheeler County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
