Basketball Recap: Glacier Peak Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Glacier Peak couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 55-54 to the Woodinville Falcons. The Grizzlies were up 32-16 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Leading Woodinville to victory were Hailey Quiggle and Jazlyn Wilkerson. Quiggle went 7-for-15 to rack up 19 points, while Wilkerson posted 15 points and five boards. Wilkerson's afternoon made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Bieler, who put up 12 points.

Glacier Peak's defeat dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Woodinville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-5 record this season.

Glacier Peak will head out on the road to challenge Emerald Ridge at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodinville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
