Basketball Recap: Phoenix Christian Takes a Loss

Phoenix Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs. The Cougars lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 68-44 score last time.

Phoenix Christian's record is now 4-8. As for Rancho Solano Prep, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phoenix Christian will venture away from home to challenge Fountain Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Phoenix Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rancho Solano Prep has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three matches.
