Basketball Recap: Giddings Takes a Loss

Giddings and Sealy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Giddings had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Sealy Tigers, falling 73-41. The Buffaloes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sealy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Washington, who almost dropped a triple-double with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. The dominant performance gave Washington a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Kallan Hendry, who went 8-for-17 en route to 24 points along with five boards and three steals.

Giddings' loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Sealy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Giddings does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sealy, they will challenge Lorena at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sealy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
